Program Eligibility
Am I eligible for VET TEC 2.0?
You may be eligible for VET TEC 2.0 if you meet all of these requirements.
You’re a veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, or an active-duty service member within 180 days of separation.
You served at least 36 months on active duty.
You’re under 62 years old when your application is approved.
Note: VET TEC 2.0 is limited to 4,000 paid participants per fiscal year. You don't need to have qualified for any prior VA education benefit to participate. Check the GI Bill Comparison Tool to verify your program is approved for VET TEC 2.0.

Frequently Asked Questions
VET TEC 2.0 helps eligible veterans and active-duty service members develop high-tech skills through approved training providers like Intellectual Point. The program covers tuition, housing allowance, and books & supplies at no cost to you.
If you have remaining entitlement under DEA, Montgomery GI Bill, or Post-9/11 GI Bill, 1 month is charged per month of full-time training. If you have no remaining entitlement, you can still participate in VET TEC 2.0.
Most pathways do not require prior IT experience, but do require basic skills which are assessed through the Distance Education Readiness Assessment test. The Cyber Warrior Pathway does have specific enrollment requirements. Please refer to our School Catalog for more information regarding prerequisites.
